Decorative Gobo Projector Lights for Public Park in South Korea
Project Background
The client wanted to upgrade the park’s nightscape with soft, artistic decorative lighting. Traditional static lamps were dull and lacked visual attraction. They needed flexible outdoor projection equipment to cast custom decorative patterns on ground and walls, enrich evening sightseeing experience, boost visitor engagement and social media sharing, while fitting Korea’s humid, rainy outdoor environment.
Challenges
1. Korean outdoor climate: heavy summer rain, high humidity, wide temperature variation, requires strong waterproof & dustproof performance.2. Installation on park lamp poles, fixed height; projected patterns need to stay clear even with ambient street light interference.
3. Easy maintenance, simple gobo replacement for seasonal pattern updates (floral, leaf, ripple, snowflake themes).
4. Low power consumption, stable long-running performance for public space nightly operation.
Solution
Our IP65 waterproof gobo projectors were mounted on park lamp poles at height, projecting decorative patterns vertically downward onto pedestrian paths and retaining walls.
- Housing: fully sealed IP65 metal casing, anti-rust, rainproof, works reliably in all weather conditions in Korea.
- Custom gobos: decorative patterns including flower petals, leaves, water ripples. Client can swap gobos quickly for seasonal theme changes.
- Adjustable focus & zoom: tune projection size and sharpness according to mounting height.
- Auto night on/off optional, low heat generation, suitable for long-hour continuous operation.
Installation & Effect
Multiple projectors were arranged along the park walking route at reasonable intervals. At dusk, artistic decorative patterns are cast smoothly on pavement and landscape walls. Gentle projected motifs create a dreamy immersive night atmosphere, turning ordinary park paths into a light art trail.
Visitors stop to take photos and share on social platforms. The park nightscape becomes distinctive without bulky light installations or permanent painted decorations. When seasonal themes change, only the gobos need replacement instead of re-installing hardware, greatly cutting renovation cost.
